Amir Khan (r): Wants Garcia rematch

Amir Khan has brushed off suggestions he should retire and is instead focusing on a rematch with Danny Garcia.

Khan suffered an embarrassing fourth round stoppage in his fight with Garcia last weekend, having already hit the canvas three times.

However, while retirement is being punted as an option by some, Khan is determined to fight on but may do so without trainer Freddie Roach.

The Bolton man has already set his sights on a rematch with Garcia.

"I'm looking at fighting again in December and we're hoping it is against Danny Garcia," Khan told BBC North West.

Khan lost his WBA light-welterweight in the bout and missed out on adding the WBC title to his collection, a point he is determined to rectify.

"Hopefully in December we can get that rematch and I can bring the belts home to Britain," he said.

"I'm in my best days now. I've put that behind me. This will only drive me and motivate me to go forward.

"I've not had time to be upset. I was thinking on the plane on the way home it would have been great to win all those titles and bring them home. Everyone was rooting for me to do that, but it just wasn't my time."
