Enzo Calzaghe: Will train highly-rated Scottish boxing sensation Harry Carlin

Scottish boxing sensation Harry Carlin has joined forces with Calzaghe promotions after they won the race for the in-demand teenager.

The 14-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in British boxing and his move to Calzaghe promotions will mark the return of Enzo and Joe Calzaghe in 2013.

Carlin will now train under the watchful eye of Enzo who has vowed to take the youngster to the highest heights in boxing.

Calzaghe has been impressed with Carlin after two gruelling days at Camp Calzaghe in Newbridge, Wales earlier this week.

"Harry Carlin is an absolute breath of fresh air," Calzaghe told skysports.com. "Harry has professional style already and with tweaks from myself I will develop him with the help of his scottish coaches to world dominance.

"He will turn pro at the earliest time possible. The amateurs are just a learning curve.

"The real work will take place over the coming years and people will know exactly what Harry Carlin is about.

"His manager brought him to me and Calzaghe gym is getting exciting. I believe in Harry Carlin."

Carlin was delighted to link-up with someone as renowned and experienced as Calzaghe.

"I'm so excited of getting this opportunity to work with the best trainer in the world," said Carlin.

"I'd like to thank my new kit sponsor Capricorn Security, based in Manchester, and thank Enzo Calzaghe for his belief in me."
