Warwickshire wrapped up a second successive LV= County Championship Division One win with a five-wicket victory over reigning champions Lancashire - but England batsman Ian Bell missed the chance to play himself into form.
Lancashire, who lost their opening game to Sussex, resumed on the final day under the cosh at 44 for four and they were six down before they overhauled a first-innings deficit of 79.
Ashwell Prince's 51 eventually helped them to 148 all out, Keith Barker and Jeetan Patel taking five wickets apiece, and Warwickshire were left to chase 70.
Left-arm spinners Simon Kerrigan and Gary Keedy combined for five wickets, the former removing Bell for 16, but William Porterfield and Tim Ambrose saw the Bears to 71 for five.
Two hours of rain when Durham looked on course for victory against Middlesex at Lord's led to an unexpectedly dramatic finish.
After initially being thwarted by a ninth-wicket stand of 82, Durham needed 130 to win off 45 overs and had reached eight without loss when the rain arrived.
On the resumption the target was 122 off 16.2 overs, but they slipped to 75 for six and it was suddenly Middlesex who scented victory.
Steven Finn thought he had his fifth wicket when Scott Borthwick edged to Andrew Strauss at first slip but it was a no-ball and Borthwick and skipper Phil Mustard saw Durham to 82 for six by the close as the match finished in a draw.
Rain put an early end to Worcestershire's chase of 246 against Surrey, the visitors having made good progress to 94 for one.
Home skipper Rory Hamilton-Brown moved to 76 and the Surrey tail added vital runs in a second innings score of 224, with Jon Lewis 24 not out and Jade Dernbach clubbing 22 entirely in boundaries. Alan Richardson took four for 81 to finish with 10 in the match and David Lucas and Richard Jones added three wickets apiece.
Michael Klinger was 69 not out by the time play was ended, Daryl Mitchell the man out for 20.
Nottinghamshire earned a draw with Somerset, reaching 169 for four in their second innings as only 46 overs were played today.
Notts trailed by 283 on first innings and fell from their overnight 47 without loss to 109 for four as Peter Trego struck twice to take his match total to seven.
But James Taylor (38 not out) and first-innings hero Chris Read (33no) batted out the abridged day.
