Rain stopped play at Kent

Rain stopped play at Kent

Torrential overnight rain left umpires Peter Willey and Trevor Jesty no option but to call off the final day's play in the LV= County Championship Division Two match between Kent and Yorkshire at Canterbury.

Kent were due to resume on 350 for nine in reply to Yorkshire's first innings 247, but a sodden outfield forced the game to be abandoned as a draw.

Kent take 10 points and Yorkshire seven.
