Kevin Pietersen: Back in England after IPL stint

Kevin Pietersen will prepare for next week's first Test by appearing for Surrey in their LV= County Championship clash with Worcestershire.

Ahead of the Lord's clash against the West Indies, the England right-hander will return to the longer format for the first time since arriving back from the Indian Premier League last week.

It will be the 31-year-old's only preparation in English conditions before the Test after a month playing with the Delhi Daredevils on the sub-continent.

Surrey coach Chris Adams said: "We are delighted to have KP back with us and he will be looking to make a real impact as he gets back into the rhythm of playing the longer form of the game."

The match is due to begin at New Road on Wednesday, after the ground was deemed fit to host the match despite recent flooding.
