Ravi Bopara: Forced off field with an injury
England batsman Ravi Bopara suffered an injury scare on Friday after he was forced off the field in Essex's LV= County Championship match against Kent at Chelmsford.
Bopara suffered a "slight thigh injury" after bowling a single over before lunch, and had not re-appeared when the action resumed for the afternoon session.
Essex initially played down fears the injury could rule Bopara out of selection for next week's first Test against West Indies, claiming he is set to return to the field later in the day.
Bopara is in line for a Test recall in next week's Lord's opener, with a return at the number six spot most likely, with the squad due to be named on Sunday.Bopara allayed the injury fears when he did return just before the tea break.
