New Zealand will play their first Test at Eden Park in seven years when England tour the country in 2013.
New Zealand have confirmed they will take on the current world No.1 Test team in a three-match series - as well as playing a further three one-day internationals and three Twenty20 internationals.
The tour will take place between February 4 and March 26 - with Eden Park to host the final Test as New Zealand Cricket have been unable to schedule a match in Christchurch following the 2011 earthquake.
The other Tests will be held in Dunedin and Wellington, while Hamilton and Napier will host limited-overs games.
England will also have two T20 warm-up matches against a New Zealand XI at Whangarei and a four-day game in Queenstown.
"We felt the England tour presented a good opportunity to allocate a match to our largest city," New Zealand Cricket chief executive David White said.
"An inbound England tour brings in a large number of supporters who create a wonderful atmosphere and we are sure the people of Auckland will turn out in force to see two quality teams in what promises to be a fantastic occasion."
All the one-day internationals will be day-night matches starting at 1400 local time, while the T20 games will begin at 1900.
