Sajid Mahmood: Has agreed to move to Somerset on loan
Lancashire fast bowler Sajid Mahmood has joined Somerset on loan until the end of the season.
The former England paceman has not played a first-team match for Lancashire since June 14's Friends Life t20 clash with Derbyshire.
Lancashire cricket director Mike Watkinson said: "At this stage of the season, Saj needs to be playing cricket week in, week out.
"Due to injuries and international call-ups, Somerset are a bit thin on the ground in terms of fast bowling. Therefore, it's a win-win situation for all parties."
Mahmood goes straight into Somerset's squad for Tuesday's County Championship game against Sussex, with Gemaal Hussain and Alfonso Thomas both injury doubts.
