Brighton have bolstered their ranks with the capture of experienced right-back Bruno Saltor on a free transfer from Valencia.

The 31-year-old passed a medical on Monday and has agreed a two-year deal from 1st July with the Championship outfit.

He made 17 appearances for the Primera Liga side last season and Brighton boss Gus Poyet believes he will add competition to his squad.

He told the club's official website: "Bruno has a great amount of top-level experience in La Liga, the Champions League and the Europa League, and to bring a player of his quality is a coup for us.

"He will give us competition at right-back, along with Inigo Calderon, and the pair of them give us great options in that position."
