Skrtel: Not in talks with other clubs

Skrtel: Not in talks with other clubs

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel says he has received no approaches despite speculation surrounding his future.

The Slovakia international is reportedly a target of Premier League champions Manchester City.

But the 27-year-old, who joined the Reds in 2008, has denied any approaches from other clubs and said he is happy to remain at Anfield.

"In the press there have been rumours about my future," Skrtel said on his personal website.

"I would like to say that so far I have not received any specific offers and I have not been in talks with any club."

He added: "I'm looking forward to the new season very much and believe we will be well prepared for it and it will be better than the last one."
