Auxerre coach Jean-Guy Wallemme has warned his side they need to continue their recent revival when they host Bordeaux on Monday if they are to beat the drop.

Auxerre have moved out of the Ligue 1 bottom three following consecutive wins over relegation rivals in the past week, following up their 4-0 win over Brest with a 2-0 victory at Dijon.

That six-point haul has moved Wallemme's side out of the drop zone with three games to go, but only on goal difference and the coach knows his side need more wins.

"Going into the game against Bordeaux we are in a better position than a few weeks ago, but nothing has been achieved yet," he told the club's official website.

"We have to control our nerves and not fall into traps. We have to continue and the spirit is there."

Auxerre will be looking to get something out of the game, with their final two matches at Marseille and then at home to title-chasing Montpellier.

Bordeaux have little to play for, lying in eighth place but with almost no chance of getting into the top four to qualify for Europe.

They are on a decent run, though, having won their last three games, and Auxerre goalkeeper Olivier Sorin is prepared for a tough match.

He said: "They are a strong team who are hurting sides. It will need a big performance against Bordeaux for us to continue on a positive run."
