Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not getting too wound up about St Etienne's quest to secure European football.

Les Verts host Marseille on Monday on the back of a midweek defeat to Paris St Germain that left them one point outside the fifth and final European place.

Rennes are the side keeping them at bay at present, but 14-goal Aubameyang is taking a relaxed approach to things, in spite of the obvious pressures.

"It's beautiful to live. We take this end of the season with a lot of fun and we try to give as much pleasure as to take the field," he told his club's official website.

"It will be complicated to qualify for Europe. I do not think too much. I just take the games one after the other as I have done since the beginning of the season."

Standing in his side's way are a Marseille side with little to play for.

Title contenders at the start of the season, Didier Deschamps' men are mere also-rans in the ladder following a horrid late-season slump.

"They will be relaxed for the match," said Aubameyang, who has been St Etienne's stellar performer this season.

"They will make moves. It is expected to be a difficult match and we will have to try and benefit.

"We are at home and we have the fans."

The end of the season has presented Christophe Galtier's men with some searching challenges - most notably their ability to recover from their Coupe de France final defeat to Lyon.

The PSG loss was not the ideal comeback, but Aubameyang is not expecting anything to come easily at this stage.

"We have lots of important games and we have to win them to get back in Europe," he added.

"Anything can happen and we will see how it goes."

Marseille recorded their first league win since January in midweek, and Deschamps, whose future still remains in some doubt, said: "We had started to forget what winning felt like."
