Toulouse boss Alain Casanova believes his side are playing simply for pride in their final Ligue 1 game of the season against Ajaccio on Sunday.
Le Tefece have an outside chance of claiming a Europa League berth but they would need a heavy win at the Stadium Municipal and hope other results go their way.
Given the problems Toulouse have had in finding the back of the net this season - they have scored 37 goals in as many league matches - Casanova is downbeat about finishing in the Europa League spots.
A 1-1 draw with relegation-threatened Dijon last week extended Toulouse's winless streak to five league matches, leaving Casanova frustrated.
"If there was a scenario that was unsatisfactory to everyone, it was this one," he told the club's official website.
"I think we now cannot qualify for the Europa League. It will be very complicated.
"We may have some regrets about the match. In the second period, from the moment we tried to win the game, we were exposed. Dijon had chances to win. I think we can have regrets because at the end of the match, it is us who should have won."
Toulouse can have a shred of confidence ahead of the clash with Ajaccio after claiming a 2-0 win in the reverse fixture on the first day of the season.
But Ajaccio need a result to have any chance of staying up.
Olivier Pantaloni's men occupy the final relegation spot in the league, with just goal difference keeping them below Brest and Caen respectively.
An Eduardo penalty rescued a 1-1 draw for Ajaccio in their last match against Lyon and, although the Corsica club are still winless in 10 matches, a run that stretches back to March 9, they have picked up six draws in that time.
