Javier Hernandez insists Manchester United will fight to the bitter end before relinquishing their Premier League title.
United head into Sunday's encounter with Swansea at Old Trafford knowing they are no longer in charge of their own destiny.
Unless they win their final two games by improbably high scores, the Old Trafford outfit will not be able to catch leaders Manchester City if they overcome their last couple of opponents, Newcastle and QPR.
However, Newcastle represent an awkward assignment for Roberto Mancini's men and even relegation-threatened QPR are likely to have plenty of incentive to win at the Etihad Stadium on May 13.
So Hernandez does not see any reason why the Red Devils should give up just yet.
"We will keep fighting because there are two games left," he said.
"The possibility remains for us to win the title.
"Some people say the chance is very low. Some say they are high. But we will keep fighting until the end."
On Sunday, Phil Jones realises United cannot afford to be dictated to.
"Swansea do tend to have the majority of possession against teams but hopefully we can put that right," said the England defender.
"It is important in any game that we keep the ball and play at our tempo, the way we like to play.
"I am sure we will be able to do that."
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has claimed United have an "easy" game ahead of them.
The words do scant justice to Swansea's efforts this term.
In case Mancini needed reminding that included a victory over City as recently as March.
They have also beaten Arsenal and claimed draws against Chelsea and Liverpool, so the evidence suggests they cannot be taken for granted as Mancini claims.
"Swansea have been a surprise package this season," said Jones. "They have played some terrific football and have some great individuals of their own.
"We are aware of the threat they pose. Hopefully we can snuff that out, play our game and get the three points."
Sir Alex Ferguson has identified Leon Britton and Neil Taylor as players who have caught his eye, whilst Nathan Dyer and Iceland international Gylfi Sigurdsson have enjoyed wider acclaim.
There can be no standing back in admiration from United though.
After all, there is one other way of overhauling City, and that is through goal difference.
It is going to take two pretty significant wins for the Red Devils to achieve that.
However, Jones acknowledges that whilst United cannot do anything rash, if the chance arises, they have to try and make it count.
"We have to go for it," he said.
"We can't go gung ho straight from the start. We have to approach the game in the right manner.
"The idea is to make a platform to build on.
"If we keep a clean sheet, which we are capable of, we will score goals."
Whether the game ends in elation or disappointment, it will be followed by the traditional lap of honour from Ferguson and his players to mark the final home game of the season.
For Jones, it has been a remarkable debut campaign, which has seen him elevated on to the England scene, in addition to making 39 United appearances since his £17million switch from Blackburn last summer.
"It is my first season and the fans have been absolutely terrific with me," he said.
"They have shown great faith in me and the atmosphere they create is terrific.
"It is something I have never experienced before."
