KABOUL: SPURS DESERVE CL SPOT

Younes Kaboul: Eyeing Champions League

Younes Kaboul concedes it will be a "big disappointment" if Tottenham Hotspur fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.

With one game left to play, Spurs occupy fourth spot, but even that will not guarantee Champions League football next term if Chelsea beat Bayern Munich in this season's final later this month.

Spurs are at home to Fulham on the final day of the campaign and trail Arsenal by a point, with their North London rivals away at West Brom.

Fulham manager Martin Jol will be returning to White Hart Lane for the first time since leaving Spurs and Kaboul hopes the club's former boss will not wreck their Champions League dream.

"If we don't get into the Champions League, it's going to be very disappointing for us because I think we've had a very good season," said Kaboul. "I think we deserve the Champions League.

"We don't want Martin to come back and get a result. No, definitely not!

"If we lose next weekend, it's going to be a big disappointment. It's important for us, so we have to take all three points in the last game, definitely."

Tottenham have recovered from a wobble in form which saw the team throw away a 10-point lead over Arsenal and Kaboul has praised the spirit in Harry Redknapp's squad.

The defender added: "I think in the last three games we've shown quality football and a very good team spirit.

"That's the most important thing in a football team. In the squad you need to have a very good team spirit and everyone going the same way."
