Torino secured promotion back to Serie A on Sunday after beating Modena 2-0 at home in the penultimate round of the season.
Goals from Nnamdi Oduamadi and Giuseppe De Feudis in either half earned Torino the victory over Modena which mathematically assures them of one of the two automatic promotion places from Serie B.
The seven-time Italian champions, who complete their campaign against rock-bottom AlbinoLeffe next weekend, have been outside the top flight since being relegated in 2009.(reopens) Pescara tonight joined Torino in the top flight after a 3-1 win at Sampdoria.
A brace by Gianluca Caprari and a Ciro Immobile strike was sufficient for Pescara to end their 19-year Serie A exile.
They now enjoy a three-point lead over both Sassuolo and Verona heading into the final round of fixtures, with their better head-to-head record ensuring they cannot be overtaken.
Sassuolo and Verona must instead settle for a place in the promotion play-offs alongside Varese and Sampdoria.
