Norwich defender Russell Martin insists the Canaries can survive the departure of boss Paul Lambert.
The Scot has taken the Aston Villa manager's job having guided Norwich to two successive promotions and then to 12th place in their first season back in the Premier League.
Asked if Lambert's decision to leave was painful for the club, Martin told Sky Sports: "No, I do not think so.
"Unfortunately, that is the game. Obviously we are disappointed, but he has made the decision which is best for his career.
"We owe that to him to let him go on with our best wishes. As players, as individuals and as a team, he has helped us enormously.
"I do not think we worry at all. The club and the chief executive and the board members will have their candidates in place.
"There will be a lot of people wanting the job, because it is a great job to take at the minute."
