Angel Rangel: Raring to go against Manchester United on Sunday

Angel Rangel hopes to recover from a calf strain in time to face Manchester United, but admits Swansea City will have to be 'faultless' to get anything out of the game.

Rangel is one of a number of Swansea players racing to be ready for Sunday's encounter at the Liberty Stadium, with Michel Vorm set to return from a groin injury and Pablo Hernandez on his way back from a thigh problem.

The prospect of lining up against Sir Alex Ferguson's side is helping Rangel in his fitness battle as he would relish the chance to take on the Premier League leaders.

"I would love to be ready for Sunday - everybody wants to play against Manchester United," the Spaniard said in the Daily Mirror.

"The recovery is going well and the calf is much better."

Rangel recalls how difficult the home game against United was last season, when Swansea went down to a narrow 1-0 defeat, but he hopes they can come out on top this time around.

He said: "United were very well organised last year and didn't let us play our own game. They didn't have many chances, but were very clinical. We have to be faultless."
