Timo Glock: Feeling better

Timo Glock: Feeling better

Timo Glock is confident he will be fighting fit for the British Grand Prix.

The Marussia driver missed the European Grand Prix in Valencia at the weekend after being taken ill with an intestinal infection.

The German had been fighting the bug for 48 hours prior to being forced to sit out qualifying, and eventually the race.

Following a few days' rest, Glock believes he will be ready for next weekend's event at Silverstone.

"Generally I am feeling much better. I still feel a little weak in the legs, but otherwise I am okay," said Glock.

"It was obviously very disappointing that I was forced to miss the race in Valencia, but that is the way it goes sometimes.

"You cannot just ignore the symptoms I was experiencing, but I am now on my way to a full recovery, although it will be a few more days before I am allowed to train again.

"I am now looking forward to the forthcoming weeks. Included on the programme is my home race.

"It means it will be a busy and demanding period with lots of events and activities. However, by then I should be totally fit again."
