Sergio Perez is planning further clear-the-air talks with Pastor Maldonado this weekend after their latest smash at Silverstone.
Perez was furious with Maldonado following the incident during the British Grand Prix in which the Venezuelan sent the Mexican out of the race.
It left Sauber driver Perez describing Maldonado as "dangerous" and "stupid" and urging the stewards to take severe action before another driver is eventually hurt.
Although Maldonado went before the stewards for the third time in four races given his rash of indiscretions - including a previous clash with Perez in Monaco - he was merely fined 10,000 euros (£7,933) and given a reprimand.
Perez now appreciates his reaction was arguably over the top, but feels Maldonado should still question the way he drives, and will seek him out at Friday's drivers' briefing to express his views.
"I was very angry and I probably said things I should not have said, but they've been said," remarked Perez.
"In the end my opinion is the same. It was an unnecessary touch, an unnecessary crash.
"I think we will have a personal word. We're not kids, and in the drivers' briefing we will see each other, so we will talk.
"Pastor drove in a very aggressive way, more than aggressive, so I think now he will change his style because he is a quick, very intelligent driver. That's why he is in Formula One.
"He probably realises he has given away too many points because of his aggression.
"In my opinion he should think about why he is getting so many reprimands, so many penalties, but in the end it is up to him to decide."
Maldonado, however, has again indicated he sees no reason why he should alter his approach, insisting his collision with McLaren's Lewis Hamilton on the penultimate lap was "normal race contact", although he received a retrospective drive-through penalty.
As for running into Perez in Silverstone, he claims he was "very unlucky" in that he lost the rear of the car as his rival tried to overtake around the outside.
Maldonado claims to have spoken to Perez for about "two to three minutes" when they went to see the stewards at Silverstone.
As for the response, Maldonado said: "All clear.
"Everybody saw I lost the car and it was nothing intentional - even him.
"We've been big contenders in the past, in GP2, and I understand his point. He was angry, he lost the race.
"On the other side, I lost my race as well. It's difficult to evaluate.
"But I'm not here for polemics. I'm here to race, I'm here to win."
