Tiger Woods: Poor second day in Florida

Tiger Woods: Poor second day in Florida

Tiger Woods could not save Albany from finishing in last place at the annual Tavistock Cup in Florida.

Woods, returning from the injury which led to his withdrawal from the Cadillac Championship nine days ago, had a level-par 72 in the second day singles of the four-club event.

Hosts Lake Nona, whose six-man side included Northern Irishman Graeme McDowell and England's Ross Fisher, won for a fourth year in a row.

They had a 41-under-par total to beat Isleworth by two, Queenwood by 10 and Albany by 15.

Of the 24 players only one scored worse than Woods, team-mate Ian Poulter shooting 76.

The best rounds were the five-under-par 67s of Fisher, Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Robert Allenby and Thomas Bjorn.
