Austrian Bernd Wiesberger will take a five-shot lead into the final round of the Ballantine's Championship after carding a second straight seven-under-par 65 at Blackstone Golf Club in Icheon, South Korea.
The 26-year-old, who opened with a respectable level-par 72 on a blustery first day, was one shot clear of Australian Marcus Fraser at the tournament's midway point and extended that advantage with another impressive display on Saturday.
For the second day running he collected seven birdies en route to a flawless round - equalling his own course record and advancing to 14 under as a result.
Fraser, who won this title on Jeju Island in 2010, remained his nearest challenger on nine under after a creditable 69 despite blotting his copybook by bogeying the par-five 15th.
England's Oliver Fisher (67) was a further shot back on eight under alongside Chile's Felipe Aguilar (68), with Ireland's Paul McGinley (65) and Spain's Miguel Angel Jimenez (69) one further adrift in a tie for fifth.Wiesberger was superb all day with the putter, maintaining his lead with birdies on four and six - the former thanks to a 15-foot putt.
Further lengthy putts followed on the 10th, 12th and 13th before an amazing downhill effort from 20 feet on 14 as he surged clear with a stunning inward 31.
It all left the Vienna-born player reflecting on "another perfect day", which has put him in pole position for a maiden European Tour title.
He said: "I think that's what we call a great day at the office. It was fun out there. It was nice conditions again like yesterday, and a really nice set-up for the course. I enjoyed myself out there, made a lot of putts and that was the key to another perfect day.
"Out there on the greens I really felt like I saw the lines perfectly today and I putted the ball nicely."
Wiesberger, a two-time winner on the Challenge Tour in 2010 and twice a runner-up on the European Tour last year, added: "It feels like I'm getting into position more often, and played well when I was in those positions in the last half of the year last year. It was a good preparation the last two years, and I hope it pays off tomorrow."
Fraser accepted he had his work cut out trying to reel in Wiesberger on Sunday, and tipped the leader to take the title and go on to be a big star.
"I felt like I was playing chase out there most of the day and trying to keep up," the 33-year-old said. "Bernd is playing great - so much game and definitely a star of the European Tour to come. He's obviously a great player now but he's got big things in front of him - that's for sure.
"It reflects the way he's playing. He played great here and gives himself a chance on every hole and he's a great putter, as well.
"If I was a betting man, I would put the house on him. He's just played so well and looks very comfortable."
