Kuchar: Climbs 11 places to fifth

American Matt Kuchar has moved up 11 places to fifth in the world thanks to his victory at the Players Championship.

Kuchar's win at Sawgrass means there are now six Americans in the top 10 and four Europeans.

However, Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy keeps hold of top spot despite missing the cut.

The English pair of Luke Donald and Lee Westwood both failed to finish high enough to usurp McIlroy from the summit. They remain second and third respectively.

Scot Martin Laird, part of a four-way tie for second at Sawgrass, improves eight spots to 31st.
