England's Jodi Ewart continued her impressive run at the Sybase Match Play Championship in New Jersey by beating Sophie Gustafson 3&1 in the second round.
The 24-year-old had stunned world number three and defending champion Suzann Pettersen, and continued her impressive form with a comfortable win over Gustafson.
The Swede, facing English opposition for the second day in a row after beating Karen Stupples, won the first hole, but it was all-square after five.
And a run of four holes in a row from the seventh, won on a par and three birdies, but Ewart firmly in control.
Gustafson clawed her way back into the match by winning 12 and 14, but Ewart clinched her progress with a birdie at 17.
World number one Yani Tseng had another tough day before advancing with a 3&1 win over Katie Futcher.
The American had the better of the front nine, winning three holes to Tseng's two.
But three birdies in four holes from the 11th put Tseng in charge and she parred 17 to put any nerves to bed.
World number two Na Yeon Choi also advanced with a 3&2 win overt fellow South Korean Jenny Shin.
But the run of surprises continued as fifth and seventh seeds Cristie Kerr and Jiyai Shin were both ousted, by Vicky Hurst and Anna Nordqvist respectively.
