Paul Lawrie has apologised for the way he stormed off after losing his Volvo World Match Play semi-final in Spain.
The former Open champion was beaten on the second extra hole by eventual tournament winner Nicolas Colsaerts, having been four up after four holes.
"I would like to apologise to all the media and tv for not speaking to them after my match," Lawrie told his official website.
"I was very angry and frustrated, but I should have gone to the locker room for five minutes to calm down and then come back out to speak.
"My actions were unlike me, but that's the angriest I've ever been coming off a course. But that's no excuse, so I'm sorry."
