Pak Se-ri: One-shot lead

Three-time champion Pak Se-ri tops the leaderboard at the LPGA Championship on three under after 36 holes.

The South Korean was two under after the first round in New York and picked up another stroke on Friday.

Pak was one over for the round at the turn having bogeyed the seventh alongside eight pars.

But she raised her game on the back nine, collecting birdies at the 11th, 16th and 17th, although a second bogey on the par-four 13th undid some of that good work.

There was a four-way tie for second, with Germany's Sandra Gal, South Korea's Park Inbee, American Paula Creamer and Japan's Mika Miyazato all two under par.

Six players are one shot further back, including Ji Eun-hee whose four-under 68 was the round of the day.Meanwhile, South Korea's Grace Park, a major winner in 2004, announced her retirement at the age of 33 after shooting a three-over round of 75.
