Line Vedel: Shares the lead with Jenni Kuosa

Line Vedel of Denmark and Finland's Jenni Kuosa share the lead by a single shot after round two of the Allianz Ladies Slovak Open.

Vedel carded four birdies and a single bogey in her round of 69, while Kuosa recorded the same score with five birdies and two dropped shots.

The 23-year-old Vedel revealed afterwards she had struggled with injury before the start of her round today.

"I'm pretty thrilled that I got to play because when I was on the range I had a really bad pain in my right shoulder so I was pretty worried that I wouldn't be able to play," she said on www.ladieseuropeantour.com.

The pair lie four under for the tournament, one ahead of England's Trish Johnson, Australian Rachel Bailey and Jessica Yadloczky of the United States.

Johnson, a 21-time tournament champion, mixed six birdies with two bogeys in her round of 68.

The Englishwoman said afterwards: "I hit some good shots early on and converted.

"I had three or four chances from six feet and made them, which made the difference."

Yadloczky had been six under through 14 holes of her second round, but dropped three shots in her last four holes to slip behind the leaders.

Four players are tied for sixth on two under, including Germany's Caroline Masson who had a tournament-low round of 67 today.

Scotland's Carly Booth is also in the group after a round of 72, along with Italian Veronica Zorzi and overnight leader Lucie Andre of France.
