Branden Grace: Three wins already in 2012

Branden Grace: Three wins already in 2012

Branden Grace and Spencer Levin have both booked their place in this week's US Open field.

The duo claimed the final two exempt spots for the tournament, which takes place at the Olympic Club in San Francisco.

The pair made it into the field by climbing into the world's top 60. However, with only two players managing to do that this week, three players who just missed out on qualifying have also been called into the field.

They are Americans Justin Hicks, Kyle Thompson and Colt Knost, whose victory in the 2007 US Amateur came at the Olympic Club in San Francisco where the year's second major takes place.

South African Grace is already a three-time winner on the European Tour this season, while American Levin was the leading amateur at the tournament back in 2004.
