Danny Willett: Huge rise up the rankings

Danny Willett: Huge rise up the rankings

England's Danny Willett and Australian Marc Leishman have both made huge leaps up the world rankings after their weekend wins.

Willett is up from 204th to 115th following his first European Tour success at the BMW International Open in Cologne, while Leishman moves from 160th to 78th thanks to his maiden PGA Tour victory at the Travelers Championship in Connecticut.

Leishman came from six shots back with a closing 62 and had to wait two hours to discover if it was good enough.

American Charley Hoffman was the likely winner until he double-bogeyed the 17th and bogeyed the last to drop to joint second with Masters champion Bubba Watson.

It might have been an Australian double, but Willett beat Marcus Fraser at the fourth hole of a play-off.
