Veronica Felibert carded a six-under-par 65 to lead by one at the end of the first round of the LPGA's Walmart NW Arkansas Championship.

The Venezuelan had seven birdies and a bogey in her round to lead by one from China's Shanshan Feng.

Behind Feng was a group of three players on four under, France's Karine Icher and two South Koreans, Inbee Park and MJ Hur.

Scotland's Catriona Matthew was two under while England's Jodi Ewart was one over, one ahead of compatriot Laura Davies and another Scot, Janice Moodie.
