Ante-post favourite Clash Duff has been ruled out of this afternoon's Betfred Midlands Grand National.

The horse has been declared a non-runner at Uttoxeter after trainer Jeremy Scott reported him to be lame.

Clash Duff had won on two of his last three outings and had been around the 15/2 mark for today's feature race.

The Gold Cup winning team of Jonjo O'Neill and owner J P McManus were due to be represented in the marathon contest by Arbor Supreme but the 10 year old was also ruled out of the race on Saturday morning leaving a field of 16 to go to post.
