Nathan Cook was airlifted to hospital after being knocked out in a fall at Ffos Las on Sunday.

The 10lb-claiming conditional rider was unconscious after being unseated from Harry's Boy, trained by his boss Tom Symonds, at the sixth flight in the Hanfords Chemists Maiden Hurdle.

He regained consciousness while receiving treatment from medics at the track before being taken by helicopter to hospital in Cardiff, where he was due to have have an MRI scan.

"He was talking when he left the course. He had been knocked unconscious but came round and was in no discomfort," said Ffos Las clerk of the course Tim Long.

"As in all these things you refer them off for a scan and he was taken off to Cardiff.

"They were confident as one can be in these cases that it was a routine scan and then go from there."
