Ed McMahon believes Radio Gaga deserves to take her chance in the QIPCO 1000 Guineas at Newmarket on Sunday.
The Lichfield trainer has decided to let the daughter of Multiplex bid for Classic glory after she finished second to Moonstone Magic in the Dubai Duty Free Stakes, formerly known as the Fred Darling, at Newbury recently.
"It's a tougher race than the Fred Darling, obviously, but I feel she deserves to take her chance," said McMahon.
"We've nothing to lose and there's prize money down to sixth.
"After she's run in the Guineas, we'll regroup and see where we are from there.
"I probably primed her for the Newbury race. I didn't want to go into the Fred Darling expecting her to improve from that.
"I wanted to know exactly what we've got. There's no point wasting money going into the Guineas if you're not a fighting force.
"She's a very game filly. We're going up another furlong to a mile. It's going to be soft and I would have preferred a bit better ground to get the trip better, but it's going to be the same for everybody. We'll just have to wait and see."
