Cityscape: Has travelled well

Cityscape: Has travelled well

Cityscape is reportedly on top of his form ahead of the Group One BMW Champions Mile at Sha Tin on Sunday.

The Roger Charlton-trained six-year-old has had a trouble-free journey to Hong Kong, where he will again be partnered by James Doyle.

Doyle was on board Cityscape at Meydan in March when the partnership streaked clear in the Dubai Duty Free.

Charlton's travelling head lad, Charlie Henson, said: "The horse has travelled well and he's eaten well.

"His demeanour and his attitude is excellent, so all the indicators are good.

"We're happy, but it's a horse race and anything can happen. Hopefully he gets a good run and gets his chance."

Godolphin are ably represented by the hat-trick-seeking African Story, who looked so impressive when claiming Group Two honours on Dubai World Cup night.

The five-year-old chestnut will be ridden for the first time by Silvestre de Sousa.

Trainer Saeed bin Suroor told www.godolphin.com: "I was pleased with African Story's final piece of serious work on Tuesday and he has looked in good order since then.

"He's drawn in stall 10, which should be fine as he has a good turn of foot and I hope that he can take a good position early on in the race.

"There hasn't been much rain in Hong Kong and the ground is a little quicker than ideal for African Story, but showers are forecast and I hope that there is some rain ahead of Sunday.

"We have had no problems with his preparation and he looks very well physically, happy and relaxed, which is always a good sign.

"He has improved with every start this year and I hope that he can run another big race."
