Apprentice Jacob Butterfield was banned for a total of 16 days for whip offences following his victory on Gracie's Games at Windsor.

Butterfield's first winner for 179 days proved costly on the 11-2 shot, trained by Richard Price, in the davisbakerycaribbean.com Apprentice Training Series Handicap.

The rider was handed a seven-day punishment (May 21-26 and 28) for using the whip in the forehand position and a further nine days (May 29 to June 6) for hitting his mount more times than is permitted.

Ian Burns, who partnered runner-up Dancing Welcome, got seven days (May 21-26 and 28) for using his whip in the forehand position.
