Stratford's meeting on Wednesday has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.

Course officials called off the National Hunt fixture after 21.4 millimetres of rain fell on Monday night.

The Warwickshire circuit has now had to withstand 175mm of rain within the last 30 days.Clerk of the course Stephen Lambert said: "We've had seven inches of rain over the last month, and over an inch in the last 24 hours.

"We were fit to go yesterday afternoon - the course had taken the rain absolutely brilliantly - but the rain in the last 12 hours rather tipped the scales against us."
