Al Kazeem: Heading to Epsom feature

Al Kazeem: Heading to Epsom feature

Al Kazeem is to be supplemented for the Investec Coronation Cup at Epsom following his smooth reappearance win at Newmarket last weekend.

Roger Charlton's charge was a taking winner of the Qatar Bloodstock Jockey Club Stakes, slamming runner-up Quest For Peace by four-and-a-half lengths.

The trainer told At The Races: "It was a really good performance and he now has a Timeform rating of 125 which puts him right up there with most of the horses entered in the Coronation Cup.

"At the moment I'd be keen to run him at Epsom, he needs supplementing but that's on the agenda. I think it makes sense. We'll be taking on horses like St Nicholas Abbey, Masked Marvel and Sea Moon. They're decent horses but if Timeform and the other ratings are correct we're right up there with them so why not?"
