Gusto: Season over after setback

Gusto: Season over after setback

The Richard Hannon-trained Gusto, winner of his last five starts, has met with a setback that will rule him out for the rest of the season.

Owned by Highclere Thoroughbred Racing, the Oasis Dream colt was to be given a little break before Royal Ascot and the Jersey Stakes but he will now have to miss his intended engagement.

A statement on Highclere's website read: "Unfortunately, following his impressive win in the Pavillion Stakes (Listed), Gusto met with a setback and is unlikely to be seen on the racecourse again this season."
