Lingfield Derby Trial runner-up Shantaram will be aimed at the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Trainer John Gosden has decided to skip Epsom with the son of Galileo as he fears the unique track would not suit.
"I was absolutely thrilled with him," said the Newmarket handler.
"He strengthened and grew more than any other horse in the yard over the winter so to go there and run a race like that as a maiden I was thrilled.
"We'll just go away and try to win a maiden now, and then hopefully go down the King Edward VII route.
"He's not an Epsom horse - he's tall and leggy and I don't think going downhill would suit him. I'm happy with the programme we've chosen."
