Vow: On track for the Oaks

William Haggas reports Vow to be on course for a crack at the Investec Oaks following her easy victory at Lingfield at the weekend.

The daughter of 2005 Derby hero Motivator booked her ticket to Epsom on June 1 when romping home by three and a quarter lengths from Colima in the Listed Betfred "The Bonus King" Oaks Trial.

She will take a 100% record to the Surrey venue as she had won her only previous race, a 10-furlong maiden at Newbury, last month having not had a run as a two-year-old.

"She's fine and seems in great form. All being well we will try to get her to the Oaks," said Haggas, who won the Classic last year with Dancing Rain.

"We'll be doing our best."
