Ryan Moore feels Frankel could be at his most vulnerable in Saturday's JLT Lockinge Stakes at Newbury - but still expects him to win comfortably.
Several pundits are prepared to take on the unbeaten colt because of his scare in the spring and the fact that main market rival Excelebration has already had a race.
The former champion jockey can see the reasoning but is convinced Sir Henry Cecil's charge will still beat his rival for a fourth time.
Writing in his exclusive column at www.betfair.com/ryanmoore he said: "The angle some may take in the Lockinge is that this is the day to get him beaten, and I do think he will probably be at his most vulnerable today. Only Henry knows the extent to which his setback will have affected his preparation for this race, but I just can't believe they will be running him here unless they are 100 per cent happy with him.
"But in Excelebration, who I think is the only horse you can put up against him, he is meeting a genuine Group 1 horse, who has had a run and will be at home with ease in the ground But this is Frankel, and he just happens to have beaten his only serious rival pointless in all their three meetings to date.
"Frankel may be vulnerable at Newbury. But a vulnerable Frankel could still win this on the bridle."
