Hawaafez: Landed first leg of the totescoop6

One totescoop6 punter was celebrating on Saturday evening after landing a total of £193,505 when Al Muheer ran away with the final leg at Thirsk.

Just two tickets remained heading into the sixth and final leg but whilst morning favourite Sound Amigo proved disappointing, Ruth Carr's Al Muheer confirmed the promise of his run at Chester's May meeting by storming clear of his rivals to win eased down.

The winner placed just a £2 straight line on the bet in a Betfred shop in Castleford, West Yorkshire and they now have the chance to add a further £82,930 to their winnings when they go for the bonus fund next weekend.

"Not many punters land the totescoop6 on their own so I'd like to offer my warmest congratulations to this weekend's winner who's won a small fortune for just £2," said totepool chairman Fred Done.

A total of £218,180 was bet into the afternoon's pool and there were 87 winners of the place fund, each of whom picked up £501.50.
