David Brown is plotting a route to the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot with exciting juvenile New Pearl.
Brown trained Frederick Engels to win both the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot and the July Stakes at Newmarket before he was sold to compete in Hong Kong.
Brown now has another high-class two-year-old for the same owners, Pearl Bloodstock.
New Pearl won by four and a half lengths on his racecourse debut over five furlongs at Newmarket on Guineas weekend.
"He came out of his last race fantastic and we are just deciding where to go next with him," said Nottinghamshire-based Brown.
"There is a conditions race at Pontefract at June 1 he could go for, or the other option is the National Stakes at Sandown.
"But that's over five furlongs and I'd rather try him over six furlongs with a view to going for the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.
"Wherever he goes, Johnny Murtagh is keen to come over and ride him."
