Brown Panther: Nothing came to light

Brown Panther: Nothing came to light

Tom Dascombe's plans remain fluid for Brown Panther, part-owned by footballer Michael Owen.

The four-year-old ran away with the King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot last year and went on to finish second in the St Leger at Doncaster.

However, he ran an inexplicably lifeless race on his return to action in the Ormonde Stakes at Chester.

"We sent him to Newmarket and he had all sorts of tests done on him, but we couldn't really find anything," said the trainer.

"We'll just have to see how he comes along for the next few weeks and we'll make a plan from there."
