Last week's win at Catterick by SATSUMA might not be the strongest form on show but it did come on fast ground. She gets the vote on that basis as the progressive All On Red landed the odds in soft going at Newcastle last time and there was some cut in the ground when the unfancied Rhagori Aur won her racecourse debut at Thirsk a fortnight ago. C&D winner Tatlisu failed to cope with a rise in class last time and this is even tougher while Hiddon Coin and Lothian Countess were both well beaten in the same race at Newcastle on Thursday

A few of these were well beaten in the Chester Cup last month on soft ground including NEVER CAN TELL. Back on a decent surface and with Frankie in the plate once again, last year's Cesarewitch hero can return to winning ways. Shubaat was the disappointing favourite for the Chester Cup and better is also expected from him while Kazbow was another who finished down the field at Chester but was beaten twice last year by the selection. Palazzo Bianco failed to land the odds at Kempton last time but scored over 1m4f at this track in September and the hat-trick recorded by Lordofthehouse last season included a couple of course victories. The latter looks the biggest threat with a recent second at Thirsk under his belt.

Rocktherunway landed the odds as expected in a maiden at Newcastle last time but is 7lb higher than when placed in a couple of handicaps earlier this year. SPIRIT OF THE LAW has done nothing but improve since August winning three times in the process. Dropping back down a grade after a second at Nottingham last time, he's fancied to go in again over a longer trip that should suit. Rayvin Black appreciated the step up to today's distance at York last month as he finished a close-up third with Priestley's Reward and Choisan behind while Rei D'Oro also ran well on his handicap debut at Chepstow. Recent winners Party Line and Cades Reef step up in class but it would be no surprise to see a better effort from Aleksandar.

Royal Rock and RED JAZZ share top rating but the former has a penalty for October's Group 3 victory at Ascot. The latter arrives on the back of a Listed win over C&D and his second to Strong Suit in the Lennox Stakes at Goodwood last July is the best piece of form on offer. Charlie Hills' charge is fancied to confirm latest running with Majestic Myles and go in again. Pastoral Player should be thereabouts though he's yet to win outside of handicap company while this is a lot tougher than the Group 3 at the Curragh that Irish raider Gossamer Seed won last month. Doncaster Rover is capable of going close at this level but hasn't shown his best since scoring at York in August.
Musselburgh 14:55 totescoop6 Scottish Sprint Cup Handicap
Burning Thread won this last year at 50/1 but is too unpredictable to recommend even though he's on a lower mark this time around. Dancing Freddy is in the form of his life, however, and won in this grade at York last Saturday with Tax Free not far behind. He should be bang there at the finish and Partner won't be far away either having beaten Foxy Music, Excel Bolt and Cheveton at Thirsk a fortnight ago. However, stablemate BAJAN TRYST is preferred as he won a competitive sprint at Dundalk off a higher mark in October and his side of the draw looks the place to be in today's contest. Mayoman should go well again and Kevin Ryan's third runner, Racy, has place claims while Lost In Paris has won the last two renewals of this event's consolation race.

Dorcas Lane would have every chance if repeating last year's third in the Lancashire Oaks over C&D. She's been off the track since August, however, and Primevere makes more appeal having finished third in the Dahlia Stakes at Newmarket last time to Izzi Top, form that gives her the beating of Set To Music. French raider Molly Malone has yet to encounter fast ground and Myplacelater just can't seem to get her head back in front although not through lack of trying. KHAWLAH finished last on her reappearance but she recorded a UAE Oaks and Derby double at Meydan in 2011. She gets another chance here to show she retains her ability with Saeed Bin Suroor's yard hitting top form in the last week.

COMMITMENT went close to following up his Pontefract win when finding only Pilgrims Rest too good on his handicap debut at Newbury last time. He finished five lengths clear of the rest of the field and given the winner has subsequently scored again, Luca Cumani's charge is fancied to land this. The progressive Sparkling Portrait is 8lb higher after scoring at Newmarket in testing ground while Ruacana steps up a couple of grades in his bid for a hat-trick having beaten Hallmark Star in April and Scatter Dice last time. The latter is one of five Mark Johnston runners with recent Newmarket runner-up Maastricht preferred to Good Morning Star of that quintet while both Stature and Clayton have plenty of scope for improvement.

BOGART ran a terrific race on his reappearance behind stablemate Tiddliwnks at York. Last year's Two-Year-Old Trophy winner looks like having another successful season and, back against his own age group today, Kevin Ryan's charge gets the nod. There was little to separate Lethal Force and Samminder at Newbury last time, although Fanrouge finished a couple of lengths further back, and it's hard to split them here while Es Que Love has plenty to find with the selection on last year's running. Roger Sez has a shout on her best form but Irish raider Slade Power has something to prove in this company.
