The Fugue: Unlucky in the Oaks

The Fugue: Unlucky in the Oaks

William Buick says The Fugue should've won the Investec Oaks at Epsom on Friday.

John Gosden's filly was badly hampered in the early stages before finishing well to take third.

The jockey told At The Races on Monday: "She should have won the Oaks, it's as simple as that.

"She was unlucky, she got squeezed out and that finished the race for her. I'm not sure, I suppose the Irish Oaks is an option, but I'll leave that to the owner and the boss."
