MOORE: DETTORI STORY OVERBLOWN

Dettori: One of the best jockeys Moore has seen

Ryan Moore feels the situation regarding Frankie Dettori at Godolphin blew up out of all proportion in the media last week.

There were inaccurate reports on Twitter that the Italian had retired or been replaced as number one jockey at Sheikh Mohammed's team after Mickael Barzalona was booked to ride Kailani in the Oaks.

However writing in his exclusive column at www.betfair.com/ryanmoore the former champion jockey said: "Simon Crisford said at the start of the season that jockey plans were changing, didn't he? And that jockeys would keep the ride on horses that they had won on, such as Mickael on Kailani in the Oaks. So where is the story there?

"It is not only Saeed Bin Suroor training for Godolphin. There are two trainers now, and one is young and wants to do things slightly differently.

"What I will say is that at some point Godolphin will come to realise what they have with Frankie, who will be around for another 10 years. I have only ever seen one other jockey in the same league as him and he is now retired."
