Moran Gra, fourth behind Canford Cliffs in the 2009 Coventry Stakes, will return to Royal Ascot for a very different assignment this year.

Joanna Morgan's chestnut enjoyed several stints in Dubai and he returned almost straight off the plane with a victory on home soil when beating subsequent dual winner Banna Boirche in a conditions race at Dundalk in March.

"He's going for the Royal Hunt Cup, all being well," said the County Meath trainer.

"I'll do a bit of work with him next week and make a decision but he seems in good form. I don't think I've had a runner at Royal Ascot since that day, when he was a bit up against it!

"He was going to run last year and the owners are keen to come again. He's a nice little horse. He used to be a bit timid but he's got better."
