SCOOP6 TOO TOUGH FOR PUNTERS

John Louis: Victory ended scoop6 hopes.

Saturday afternoon's totescoop6 was not won after a shortage of winning favourites meant the bet went down as early as leg four.

Much of the damage was done in leg three when License To Till knocked out approximately 99% of active tickets in one fell swoop. Victory for John Louis in the subsequent leg sounded the death knell for punters and sees a win fund of £195,323 rollover to next weekend.

"Big fields and a lack of winning favourites proved to be a lethal combination for totescoop6 players this afternoon. As both pools rollover, punters can now set their sights on a potential £500,000 windfall next weekend," said totepool spokesman Andrew Griffiths.

A total of £231,918 was bet into this afternoon's pool and there were just 64 winners of the place fund, each of whom pockets £724.70.
