Mick Channon has confirmed Cruck Realta to be in the shake-up for next week's Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot after her ready victory at Salisbury on Tuesday.

After the first two outings of her career resulted in placed efforts at Goodwood and Doncaster, the daughter of Sixties Icon made a quick reappearance to break her duck over six furlongs of the Wiltshire course.

"I was worried about her because she put everything in on Saturday and it's seldom I'd ask a two-year-old to race again so quickly after such a hard race, but at the weights it looked like a penalty kick," the trainer told www.mickchannon.tv.

"Steve and Ann (Fisher, owners) haven't had the best of luck in recent years, but luckily this filly might repay their faith as we are considering the Chesham at Royal Ascot for her next Saturday.

"She's got a great cruising speed and the seven furlongs should suit. She will handle any ground and with the doubts about Ascot's forecast that can only be a positive.

"We'll see how she comes out of the race in the next few days and she can enjoy herself in the paddock before we have a serious look at our options."
